Why do I need this? 🤔

Right off the bat, this phone mount offers one major selling point: It works with almost all standard cup holders. If you need to measure, it fits into cup holders between 2 inches and 3.3 inches in diameter. The base slides into the cup holder and expands to give you a secure grip.

The base itself is adjustable, and the jointed arm allows 270 degrees of mobility so you can get the perfect viewing angle for your phone. It also has a quick-release function; just press the button on the bottom of the mount to slide your phone in and out.

Bokilino promises that the mount will fit devices up to 0.99 inches thick and between 2 and 4 inches wide. Unfortunately, this means it might not work with bulkier phone cases.

Fans love that this mount doesn’t block the cool air and that it can easily move between vehicles. Said one: “I was previously using a vent mount, which works OK but in the summer restricts air flow. The car cup holder is wonderful. It is easy to install and easy to go from one vehicle to another. It adjusts easily to fit in the different size cup holders.”

Even professional drivers have good things to say: “I drive a semi-truck for work and our company has a strict no cell phone policy, but we are allowed to have them mounted, so I threw this in my spare cup holder and it works fantastic. Sturdy as all heck.”

Despite concerns over phone thickness, some users have reported success even with large cases. “The arm works very well to maneuver around and does a great job of staying in place. Worked on an iPhone 13 with a thick Otterbox case and my S24 Ultra with a slim case when mounted.”

Cons 👎

Although most fans have few complaints, several users found the arm to be too tall. “It sits in the cup holder securely and doesn’t make any noise. The only issue I have with this is it’s too tall for my car. The gear shifter is on my [console], and the phone holder is in the way when I need to shift. Otherwise, it would be perfect.”

Another potential concern: the strength of the gooseneck arm. Some drivers reported that it moved while on the road: “It’s just not sturdy. When driving the phone looks like it’s bouncing around.” (It’s worth noting that only a few customers experienced this, though.)
